Frequently asked questions

The straight
call.

What RackIQ does, what it does not do, and what happens when you put your ground into it.

PRODUCT
What is RackIQ?

RackIQ™ reads terrain, current conditions, cameras, bucks, pressure, and logged outcomes to recommend the next move and explain why. The hunter keeps the decision.

What is The Scored Call™?

The Scored Call records the recommendation before the hunt: hunt or wait, the stand, the window, the wind, the reasoning, and the confidence behind it. The outcome is kept beside the call so the record cannot be rewritten later.

Can RackIQ make more than one call in a day?

Yes. A Scored Call belongs to a hunt and its conditions, not to a calendar day. If wind, weather, access, timing, or the target changes materially, RackIQ can pivot and issue another call that day. Each call keeps its own reasoning, confidence, and outcome.

What has RackIQ proven so far?

RackIQ has completed product-layer testing and publishes the methods, corrections, and results as Field Evidence. The 2026 field test is designed to evaluate forward calls on participating properties. Results are reported at the product or cohort level, never as a public history of an individual hunter or property.

Does RackIQ guarantee deer movement or a harvest?

No. Deer and field conditions are inherently variable. RackIQ supports judgment with context and visible confidence. It does not guarantee an encounter, movement, or harvest.

What does RackIQ cost?

Every hunter gets the first season free, with no card required. Starting in season two, the standard Hunter rate is currently $49 per season. Normal verified use, including running cameras, logging real sits, closing calls, and confirming outcomes, earns that rate down. Before any paid renewal, RackIQ shows the standard rate, every vested credit, and the final season price so the hunter can choose whether to continue.

CAMERAS
Do I need trail cameras?

No. RackIQ can start with the ground itself. Cameras add individual-buck history and more evidence, but they are not required for the first read.

How do I add camera photos?

Upload image files or a ZIP from the card. RackIQ uses available capture metadata, vendor filenames, and timestamp reading to organize photos. Camera brand is not required.

What if a photo has no reliable date?

RackIQ flags it instead of inventing one. You can supply the date when you know it. Exact duplicate files are skipped during import.

Do you publish my trail-camera photos?

No. Your trail-camera photos, exact camera locations, pins, stands, property boundaries, sit details, and named bucks are never published. Founding50 performance may be reported only as aggregate totals and averages.

LIDAR
Does RackIQ have LiDAR?

Yes. RackIQ provides a selectable terrain view derived from USGS 3DEP where local coverage supports it, with coarser elevation used elsewhere.

Can a LiDAR map find deer beds?

No. It can reveal terrain structure and help a hunter identify places worth scouting, but a map does not prove current deer use or an active bed.

Why does LiDAR coverage matter?

Available detail varies by location. RackIQ states the effective detail and uses a coarser terrain fallback where a high-detail local surface is unavailable.

DATA & TRUST
What does "no confident read" mean?

The available evidence did not clear RackIQ's bar for ranking a move. RackIQ shows that limit instead of manufacturing confidence. You can still choose where to hunt, and logging the sit gives the next read more real evidence.

What happens when the wind changes?

Check Today again before the hunt and compare the current conditions with the call you planned around. Change your plan when the real wind no longer fits it. The original frozen call stays attached to the record rather than being rewritten after the fact.

What happens when a prediction misses?

The miss stays attached to the original call. Close the sit with what actually happened, including a quiet outcome. RackIQ keeps wins, misses, untested calls, and ungradeable outcomes distinct instead of rewriting the prediction later.

Does RackIQ work without service?

Critical help remains readable without a connection. Field actions show whether they are saved, saved on this phone, waiting for signal, or not saved. Reconnect before assuming queued work has synced.

Who can see my ground and photos?

Your ground, exact coordinates, stands, routes, camera locations, photos, named bucks, and sit history are private account data unless you deliberately share them through a product feature. Ordinary help analytics do not receive them.

LAUNCH
What is Founding50?

The first fifty hunters who put real ground in, accept the published field terms, and log a real sit during the 2026 field season. It is earned through participation, not claimed by joining a waitlist. Read the field terms.

Can I follow the field test without participating?

Yes. Field Evidence explains RackIQ's evaluation method and product-level aggregate results. It does not expose participant maps, locations, photos, sit histories, or identities.

How do I get started?

Return to the homepage and point RackIQ at one spot. The first ground read comes before account creation.
